The Town
Mosman Park is located along Stirling Highway approximately 14 kilometres from Perth and 3 kilometres from Fremantle. It is bordered by the suburbs of Cottesloe, Peppermint Grove and North Fremantle and is unique in having the Indian Ocean on its western boundary and the beautiful shores of the Swan River as its eastern boundary.
The Position
As the Workforce Services Officer you will be responsible for the preparation and completion of payroll related activities and the provision of administrative support to the Human Resources and Executive Support functions (specifically Governance). You will assist in the maintenance of records, completion of fortnightly and end of financial year payroll requirements, be familiar with the Local Government Act 1995 and Regulations to assist the Governance Advisor complete projects and reports.
Key deliverables for this role are, the accurate collection and maintenance of employee related information, arranging activities related to the Town’s Staff Wellbeing and Learning and Development programs, completion of payroll processing and other projects.
This is an exciting and diverse role and we are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, a ‘can do’ attitude, combined with strong time management skills, able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate initiative.
The successful applicant will possess;
- HR/ Business qualification, or similar in progress
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation and regulations
- Prior experience in a similar role, including maintaining and processing an organisations payroll function.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with organisational and time management skills
- Expert level competency in MS Office Suite – particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative
Salary Range: $50,000 - $59,952 per annum (dependant on skills and experience)
