Native Plant Subsidy Scheme


The Local Native Plant Subsidy Scheme is still going ahead with some modifications in response to COVID-19.

Residents will need to order plants on the APACE nursery website. Collection of the plants will be at prebooked times.

Plants can be ordered from 6 April until the end of May, depending on availability and will be available for collection in May only. Plant packs will be available to order while stocks last as in previous years. 


Frequently Asked Questions:

1.  How many plants may I order?

Residents can order packs as designated by their Council. The number of packs that can be ordered for each Council will display in Eventbrite once a resident clicks on tickets to make a purchase.

 2.  Can I select the species in my packs?

Residents will not be able to choose specific species. Packs will predominantly be made up of ground covers and low shrubs. Apace will post a list of plants that will be in the packs on the Apace homepage and Facebook page on 1 May.

 3.  When can I collect my plants?

Plants are to be collected in May. Plants can be ordered from 6 April until the end of May subject to availability. Ignore the end date on the order page.

 4.  How do I collect my plants?

Residents can nominate their preferred collection day and time by emailing The nursery will endeavour to accommodate resident preferences and will contact residents closer to the day to confirm the collection date and time. Collections will be made from Apace nursery staff outside the nursery. The resident must provide proof of purchase and ID, residents must remain in their vehicle.
