Work Begins Implementing Environment Management Plan for Garungup Park

Following the adoption of the Garungup Park Environmental Management Plan by Council in December 2018, works have already begun to improve and preserve the area.

Dead materials and lower vegetation are being removed, as well as pruning and separation of the tree canopy and uplifting of trees from paths, with weed control ongoing.

New plantings, mulching, pruning and - where necessary - the removal, of acacia trees and other species to enhance public views, are
planned in coming months.

We thank everyone  who participated in community consultation on this project and look forward to delivering a newly-improved space by mid-2019.
