Mosman Park Thanks Outgoing CEO For His Outstanding Leadership
The Mayor and Councillors and the staff of the Town of Mosman Park have all paid tribute to outgoing CEO, Mr Mark Goodlet, for his outstanding leadership in his role as Chief Executive Officer at the Town and have wished him well for his next opportunity.
“During his years at Mosman Park, Mark has shown great qualities both professionally and personally and we are all very grateful for his service. It has been my pleasure to work closely with him in my role as Mayor,” Mayor Pollock said.
Mayor Pollock wished Mr Goodlet all the very best for his new position at the City of Nedlands, which he described as a great professional opportunity, and said he looked forward to working with Mark in the future as a member of the Western Suburbs regional Councils group.
During his tenure at the Town of Mosman Park, Mr Goodlet has achieved a great deal in a short time. The highlights of his time in the role include sharpening the focus of the organisation on fiscal responsibility, a major overhaul of corporate systems and information technology as well as optimising the outsourcing / staff compliment.
At a strategic level, he initiated introduced an equitable system for leasing arrangements going forward with the local clubs and associations, and oversaw improvements to Council assets. He also oversaw the development of the new vision for the Glyde Street precinct, a journey still in progress, as well as new management plans for key reserves and sports and recreation in the Town.
Mr Goodlet focused on developing a strong understanding with Council, and of the Town’s financial position for the long term in order to enable the Town to set a low rate rise future, tend to its asset base and consider other income for new assets.
Mayor Pollock advised that while the Town seeks a replacement for Mr Goodlet, the Town will put in place transitional arrangements and will announce his successor in early 2019. Mr Goodlet will take up his new position at the City of Nedlands in February next year.
