The Mosman Park Community Men’s Shed are one of three recipients in WA to be granted funding by the Australian Men’s Shed Association to run a men’s health activity. The event to be held during Men’s Health Week is in partnership with the Towns of Mosman Park and Cottesloe and the Shire of Peppermint Grove.

Shed a Light on Men’s Health is just one of the ways the Shed hopes will contribute towards promoting and preventing the physical and mental health ailments some blokes can be faced with. It all takes place on Thursday 14 June at the Mosman Park Men’s Community Shed, 1 Perrot Close Mosman Park and costs $20 per person. Sessions start at 9am and run until 4pm, with lunch and refreshments provided.

Participants can expect to receive practical advice and interactive demonstrations and be better equipped with how to identify and support those in need. Registrations can be made online at mpms.org.au/public/schedule/events or by contacting the Shed directly via email to admin@mpms.org.au or phone 9383 3354.

You don’t need to be a member to register.  Men’s Health Week runs from June 11 to 17 and encourages communities and organisations to take part in making a difference in the lives of men, boys and their families, visit menshealthweek.org.au for more information.
