State Government Planning Reform
Major reforms to simplify Western Australia's planning system and boost the State's economic recovery from COVID-19 were introduced via a bill to Parliament on 20 May 2020.
The McGowan Government's planning reforms are the culmination of three years of extensive consultation, which are now being urgently brought forward to support the wider economic response to the pandemic, protect WA jobs and create new job opportunities.
A second bill proposing legislative changes to increase the number of planning exemptions for smaller, simple developments such as patios, pergolas, decks, etc. has been passed by Parliament and will come into effect later this year.
For further information on the reforms and the timing of their introduction, please visit the Department of Planning, Lands & Heritage website.
People who are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment can call the Town of Mosman Park through the National Relay Service.
The Town of Mosman Park has installed solar panels (photo voltaic cells) on the roof of the Administration building. We’re producing power and reducing carbon emissions.
