Plan Charts Future of Sports and Recreation in Mosman Park

Recently the Town of Mosman Park conducted an important process that resulted in the development of a Sports and Recreation Plan that is now in draft stage, and the Town is seeking feedback from the community prior to finalisation.

The draft was created following an extensive process of community consultation, facilitated by Jill Powell and Associates who held individual meetings with the Town’s broad range of sporting and recreation clubs, ensuring that local voices were heard and priorities captured.

Mayor of the Town of Mosman Park, Ron Norris extended his sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the development phase of this document, which is now available for public comment.

“This draft Plan,” Mayor Norris said: “enables us to understand all of the sporting and recreational opportunities available in the Town, the participation rates, key trends in terms of the use of our ocean and river as well as our parks and reserves, so that we can make best use of Town resources to meet those needs, both now and into the future.”

He has invited everyone with an interest in sport and recreation in the Town, either as a resident, local business, club member, or frequent visitor to view the draft plan and provide feedback.

Feedback about the plan must be made in writing, either by email to community@mosmanpark.wa.gov.au or in writing, to PO Box 3, Mosman Park WA 6912 and must be received by COB Friday 4 August 2017.
